I've read some interesting posts recently in retin-a especially the
Anti-Aging Skincare FAQ.

However, just one question about retin-a. The instructions tell you to
wait 20-30 minutes after washing your face before applying the cream.
Is there a reason for this? Will the cream work as well if you only
leave a gap of a few minutes?

I find that if I wait 20 minutes, not only is it inconvenient (because
I have to remember to wash my face early) but my skin becomes quite
dry, due to not having any moisturisers or creams on it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I apply retin-a cream right after I finish cleansing my face as it absorbs
easier thus using less. It really depends on you though, they advice that to
minimize irritation. Apply it right after you wash, if you experience no
irritation then continue.
