I have a good friend that has a 5" scar located on the chest from a
surgery about 10 years ago. The scar is emotionally troublesome to my
friend and my friend badly wants to remove it or significantly reduce
the apperance of it. Does anyone have any suggestions I might be able
to give to my friend? Thank you in advance for helping to make
someone's outlook a little brighter.

My old scars slowly disappeared after I added 1000 mg of MSM to my
daily diet. My wife tried it and her surgical scars also improved.
It took about 6 months for obvious changes to occur, and after a year,
they were still getting smoother, less red and less noticeable. I
think that taking 250 mg of vitamin C with the MSM enhances this
effect, but I didn't try it without the C, so this is only hear say
for me.

MSM is methyl sulfonyl methane, an organic form of the mineral sulfur
that is a normal component of all living cells, but is destroyed by
cooking temperatures, so modern diets tend to be deficient in it.
