Any one have any solutions? I am female and my hair is also oily. I'm sure I
must have some kind of hormonal imbalance. I tried accutane for 3 weeks but I
can't stand the burning mouth and the red ring I get around my lips.....was on
it once before too....same thing. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dee

i'd say your a classic case for a B5 test.. especially if you're avoiding
accutane.. it claims to reduce oil significantly..and seems to in some..
just not in other.. i'd say try it for a month.. nothing to lose.

I put up with oily skin, blackheads, acne spots, the whole nine yards
from age 13 to age 50 and then I went onto accutane. Sure the first
few weeks were not easy. My dermatologist put me on a reasonably low
dose (20mg daily for the first 3 months, reducing slowly to 10mg daily
after 18 months).

I have never looked back. I had to take accutane for about 10-12
years on this slowly reducing regime, but have been off it now for
over 6 months. No oily skin, no blackheads, no acne sores and no
oily scalp.

Cheers
Daisy

you may want to try a microdermabrasion cream - it may help for both of your
problems.
