2 months Accutane (Need advice)

I have mild but VERY persistent back and shoulder acne. I've been on every
anti-biotic and tried every cream and lotion out there, perscription or
otherwise. I'm finally going to try Accutane for 2 months. Would this be
long enough for someone with mild acne? I will be taking the Accutane
without a perscription. I know every risk involved with Accutane. I can't
find a doc that is sympathetic to my plight. They all say that my acne is
not bad enough to warrant Accutane. "Why not" I say? Regardless of the fact
that it's mild to sometimes moderate acne, if nothing else puts a dent in it
then why not put me on Accutane? I'm an extremely healthy 28 yr old male
with no medical conditions. I've lived with acne for at least 12 years, I
want it GONE.

I have done a lot of research on Accutane but it seems there are some
differing theories in terms of dosage and course length.

I'd really appreciate some feedback from those who have taken Accutane, yet
only had mild to moderate persistent acne. I'm 190 lbs and I'm planning on
taking 40mg a day for 2 months. Should this be enough? Since it's mild,
would it be better to take 20mg a day for 4 months?

P.S. I realise I might get some negative responses due to my lack of
perscription. I understand the risks and I appreciate the concern.

I didn't even see a difference until week 12! Clear up in two months? I
sincerely doubt it. I had moderate acne and it exploded when I got a
depo-provera BC shot. It took the entire 6 months for mine to clear up.
Also, if your derm won't give it to you, find another one! I went through
about 5 before I found one who, not only gave it to me, but manipulated the
insurance forms so I only had to pay 10$ copay for each months doses.
(instead of the regular $350/month)

7 years-still clear.
