1 month after accutane....oil comes back...

well..i took a 5 month course of 20mg daily roaccutane ...pescribed by a
derm...for moderate acne on face and back...
just one month after the course.
and yesterday...i suddenly had a quite big breakout..on the forehead.....and
start to notice my face oil comes back....
start to worry if the course of tane does not work........
some help or experience will be great....

That would be an appropriate dosage for someone weighing 50 pounds.

Why did your doctor give you such a small dose?

I took 80mg daily for 4.5 months and the oil and acne came back after a
month, though not as bad.

My derm said that it is possible that I will have to go through a 2nd
round if it doesn't clear up after the 1st 5 months. Also, 20 mg
sounds too conservative. Ask your derm about doing 40 mg a day

My thinking is 20mg is WAY too low a dose. I weigh 150 pounds, had
only light acne and was on 60mg a day for 5 months.
