I stopped taking RetinA Micro a while back as my derm wanted me to try
Tazorac, which is similar to Retin A micro, but supposedly stronger (I
stopped responding to RetinA after a while). Along w/ Retin A micro or
Tazorac, I was taking oral antibiotics (doxycycline/Adoxa) and Benzaclyn
(topical mix). The idea was to treat the current zits via Adoxa & Benzaclyn
and try to reduce sebum production via the RetinA or Tazorac. I was using
that for about a year with some results, but unfortunately its effectiveness
tapered off. Now I am on Accutane, which I have tried to avoid. For
cleansing, I use the CVS version of Cetaphil's cleanser and Lubriderm
lotion.
Anyhow, you may want to as for the 0.1% RetinA micro if the 0.04% one isn't
causing redness and severe peeling. You can even take the 0.1% every other
day to reduce redness/peeling if you exhibit those severely.
