I've been taking 100mg of Novo-Minocycline for 1 month and half to treat
my acne. I haven't noticed any change in my acne so far. Should I
continue or go see my doctor for alternative medication?

thanks in advance.

Normally, I would not wait longer than three weeks for an antibiotic to
start working before calling my doctor and asking for something
different. My experience has been that it works by the start of week 4
or not at all.

That being said, I once tried Zithromax and it took 6 weeks to start
working. So my theory that it works in 3 weeks or not at all was
disproved by that case.

I think it is variable and hard to predict.

When is your next appointment?

All my experience with the same antibiotic cleared it up in roughly one
month.
I was advised by my doctor it might take as long as three months to see
substantial results if my acne was worse.
At any rate, I received a three month supply.
Still, talk to your doctor, he/she may want to prescribe you something else.
I used minocycline in conjunction with Retin-A.
Good luck.

My Doctor also said three months but what worries me is that there has
been no change whatsoever.

In my case, antibiotics never provided gradual improvement. For those
antibiotic courses that worked, my skin carries on as normal until some
critical point is hit. Then, all of a sudden, new pimples stop
appearing. That's what I see. Others may have different experiences.
