How long would Iodine/B-complex take to worsen acne?

I have acne only on my face, mainly, and take 50mcg Iodine a day (50% RDA).
Is it likely this causes it?

It is probably the iodine. Find yourself an iodine-free multivitamin. I
doubt it is the B vitamin, although Arlyn Grant will probably disagree with
me.

Hi Scarred,

B vitamins have always made me break out. (Have we already had this
conversation?) And the pimples that they cause are different than the
normal ones I usually get.

Not necessarily. The Bs are bad for me. But iodine seems to be worse for
many more. I don't take anything with iodine in it because of my thyroid
disease so I don't know much about how I would react to it.

Anything that causes me to break out takes three weeks to show itself. If I
start taking Vitamin B now, then three weeks later the pimples will show up.
Same with nuts or sugar or incredible stress. As I mentioned, I don't take
anything with iodine because of my thyroid so I don't know if iodine is a
trigger for me or not.

Very large - larger than anything I would call "normal." They fill with
puss and create huge white heads. And the scars are far worse as well.

Refined sugar is not in my diet. I eat a diet of primarily raw fruits and
raw vegetables. When I cheat, though, and eat something with refined sugar
in it, then I break out.

And nuts causing acne is something that is fairly common. I will eat them
if presented with them (raw), but I don't seak them out.
