Hi. I have been taking antibiotics to treat cystic acne for several
years and have been wondering about alternative courses of treatment
for quite some time. This issue has become an immediate priority,
however, because my husband and I would like to start a family and I
know that I will have to stop taking antibitiocs before/during
pregnancy. Is anyone aware of any successful alternative methods for
treating cystic acne (herbs, diet, etc.) that would be safe to use
during pregnancy? I would appreciate your suggestions. Thank you. >> Stay informed about: cystic acne treatment and pregnancy |

Sorry, I don't have any recommendations but when I was pregnant last
year, my skin never looked better! Being pregnant was the best thing
to happen to my skin, I was amazed! Now, 11 months after giving birth,
it's back to the way it was before (not so good).
Maybe it'll be good to give your body a rest from years of antibiotics
anyway. My Dr. told me years ago that being on them for any period of
time isn't good for you in the long run.
It's best for you and the baby to not be on anything while pregnant.
So, before you try anything talk to your Ob/Gny about it, not just a
skin Dr.
Good luck! >> Stay informed about: cystic acne treatment and pregnancy |

Hello.
A very useful treatment would be to take a full course of Accutane.
That should give you years of clear skin if you take the correct dose for
long enough.
After the course, wait three months before trying for a family.
On NO ACCOUNT take accutane without a complete protective contraceptive
system, using two methods in tandem. ie pill and condom.

I am in the same boat as you. I started getting cystic acne when I turned 25 and went on medications that I couldn't stay on while pregnant. Anyway, after doing some reseach I found this website with an e-book that outlines a step by step program of exactly what herbs and food to eat to avoid acne. I love it because I didn't have to do trial and error research with diet, it's all figured out and ready for you to try. http://imastedman.solution72.hop.clickbank.net
I just asked them if I could take the herbs they suggest while pregnant and they said "no problem". Check it out, it's been life changing for me and proves that acne really is a result of diet and hormonal imbalances. Give it a try, you will be impressed!!
DON'T TAKE ACCUTANE, IT'S SOOO BAD FOR YOUR BODY AND THERE HAVE BEEN STUDIES OF BABIES WITH BIRTH DEFECTS EVEN AFTER 3 MONTHS OF BEING OFF ACCUTANE. NOT TO MENTION WHAT THE LONG TERM EFFECTS ON YOUR BODY ARE. CHECK THE WEBSITE OUT ABOVE. >> Stay informed about: cystic acne treatment and pregnancy |
