Hello, I'm looking to use sunscreen daily but I can't find one that
doesn't leave a residue of some sort on my face especially after
reapplying. I'm a male so I can't cover anything up with powder or
makeup. I'm also looking for good UVA protection (PPD of at least 15)
so that excludes all american sunscreens at the moment. Here is a list
of ones I've already spent alot of money trying.

The best one so far is Bioderma Photoderm BIO spf 30/ppd 20. This one
is just about non greasy when it dries but it does leave a slight
whitish cast. Lots of denatured alcohol in it.

Bioderma MAX Lait spf 100/ppd 31 - too greasy and somewhat whitening
Bioderma MAX Fluid spf 100/ppd 29 - a little less greasy and somewhat
whitening.
Anthelios XL Lait spf60/ppd 28 - horribly ridiculously greasy/shiny
Anthelios W Gel spf40/ppd 19 - badly greasy, but not whitening

Any other suggestions? I'm beginning to wonder if the 'cure' is worse
then the 'disease'. Is looking like a freak all day worth less
aging/wrinkles?

Shiseido Neo Anessa spf50+ PA+++ or Kanebo Alli Water Touch spf50+ PA+++,
both of which are found at strawberrynet.com. Google alt.fashion for my
previous posts about those products.

hmm, thanks for the reply. it sounds promising as far as going on clean
is concerned, but I'm reading that PA+++ only guarantees a PPD of 8. I
might be willing to give up the high PPD for daily use, but looking at
the active ingredient list from previous postings, I wonder if the
avobenzone is stable in this formulation? If not, this sunscreen might
be pretty ineffective at blocking UVA after 1 hour. I really don't
want to apply sunscreen every hour...hmm
