Hi Sharon,
First, is your doctor sure that it is acne and not rosacea? I have both and
sometimes it is very difficult to figure out which is what. The worst part
being that some acne treatments aggravate rosacea and vice versa.
I have found that the best way to treat acne is from the inside out. I have
come to learn that for me, acne is a symptom of another, larger problem and
it is all diet related. When I cleaned up my diet, my skin cleared up.
(I'm 38 and have acne since a teenager). Try staying away from refined
sugar, white flour and nuts. Cut the garbage out of your diet and replace
with fresh fruits and veggies.
Take care and good luck.
