OK, I went down to GNC today and got some B5. I have read some mixed
opinions on that brand, but I decided to give it a try.

I have been using Zinc + B6 solution to block DHT, and it really works.
Should I stop using it altogether since the B6 will interfere with the B5?

I hope this stuff works. I'm starting at 2 grams....

Can you tell me about the Zinc/B6 solution? Where did you get it?
What concentration is it?

Just curious, if the topical zinc and b6 are working, why add the b5?

(the topical b6 shouldn't have any effect on oral dosing of b5. You
should be able to use both aside from the dryness b5 can cause (if that
would interfere with the zinc/b6 effects you get.)

Hey kita Smile

Yeah, the zinc and b6 are working to stop breakouts, but it's not making my
skin less oily! I figured I'd try out the B5 thing.

Oh, gotcha! Smile You shouldn't need too high of a dose to see oil
reduction. I'd use both (the oral b5 and keep using the zinc/b6
topically), so you don't need the higher b5 dose to prevent breakouts!

(Happy 2004!)

It's Zinc Sulphate and Pyridoxal B6 (P5P) mixed in distilled water.

I mix 4 50mg zincs and 6 of the B6 mixed in 4 oz of water, and throw it in
the fridge. That batch lasts a couple days, which is good because you don't
want it to sit around too long. B6 is unstable in solution and is sensitive
to light and heat.

It supposedly blocks DHT, and people also use it on their heads to try and
stop hair loss.

There are lots of old messages in this group and alt.baldspot about this
stuff.

Sounds like a new idea.

How do you apply it ?

It's not my idea. I use cotton balls, and do it twice a day.

Make sure you take copper and B vitamin supplements.
