esthetician training

i am considering getting trained as an esthetician. i already have a
BS degree and a Masters in Nutrition, although i haven't seriously
used my degrees for the past 2-3 years (caring for my small children).

does ANYBODY have any information about what the average earnings are
for a licsenced esthetician in the state of CA? i find the field
incredibly interesting, but i don't want to spend the time and money
for schooling, if the pay is generally low.

any advise on this would be great!
