Wondering if the drug companies are working on "cures" like Accutane
that are safer. Anyone know of anything? I personally know a lot of
people who got permanently clear on Accutane, but I am scared to death
of the dangers.

You would think these companies would be falling all over themselves
to improve on the mechanism of acttion to reduce damage and side
effects.

real "booms" are rare. usually it's little steps.
i'm thinking gene therapy. japs have discovered the gene for hair loss(going bald) and another gene for hair
growth. they're working on a cure for baldness. who knows..maybe someone will take the same route for acne.

some how i find it very difficult, being with acne is like be a drug
addict, we keep needing lots of treatments, expensive ones, and they keep
supplying us.

it's a major business.

some how i find hard to believe that till now, no one was able to find a
cure for acne, isn't it strange???

bye

I don't think it's strange. Accutane is a cure for many people. There's no cure for hair loss either is
there?
