I've been on practically all the medication out there.. just to list a
few:

- Tetrcycline
- Minocine
- Erythromycine
- Stevamycine
- Salicylic Acid
- Benzol Peroxide
- Vitamin A (Retinol)
- etc.
- ACCUTANE

I've developped acne when i was 13 years old. I've been on Accutane at
the age of 16 and that helped me go from SEVERE acne.. to mild acne...
but how will i get rid of my mild acne? I am now 19 years old, I do
have excessive oil production... but will Vitamin B5 really help??? If
accutane IS the cream of the crop, then why go to B5? Am i hopeless
cause of genetics? The doctor says "It'll go away when you turn 21"...
Is our modern scientific research not discovering any REAL EFFECTIVE
cure? or maybe acne is not curable.. but rather, preventable? In any
event, I am not convinced with advertised products and infomertials...
anyways, that's all i have to say.

Hi Roman,

I can completely control my acne through diet. It took me until I was in my
30's to figure this out. If I avoid refined sugar, nuts and B vitamins
(definitely B12), then my skin stays clear. If I manage to avoid other
processed foods, then it's even better.

It probably will control your breakouts, at least short term. Some
people need ever increasing doses, some can go to maintenance, after a
certain point. A lot of people that were raving about it 3 years ago are
now finding it has begun to stop working for them. Keep in mind these
doses are thousands of times the AI level recommended for daily intake,
and long term megadoses are completely untested.

Almost no one manages to go off PA megadose and remain clear.
And the supplementation can run $50 a month or more.

Just some stuff to keep in mind. Do a lot of research before taking the
upper doses.

I think your problem cannot been resolved by B5 being a major acne.
You should take another big course of accutane, under the doctor eye.

With some people it takes 2 courses to get rid of it

my doctor told me that when i was 18.. i'm now 29.. like mine he was simply
reading from his medical text book...my suggestion would be to try and get
another dose of accutane under doctor supervision.. if your doctor will
agree.. if he disagrees on health concerns point out you are about to
megadose your body with B5.. which in theory is medically dangerous because
its basically untested.. my thought is you may have a shot at a second
course with being so young...
PS.. i tried B5.. and it seemed to have a good result at first but seemed to
start being less and less effective after 4/5 months.. like everything else
(to some extent even accutane) my skin seemed to learn to adapt and nullify
the treatment.. if your doctor wont go for another accutane treatment, try
it for maybe 3 months.. its also very expensive, and hardly a worthwhile
risk unless you're sure its working.
deuce.
