When I was 22, I went to a derm for acne and he gave me Minocyclin,
which didn't do anything as far as I could tell.
In my early 30s, I tried it again and it did clear my skin, although
only for a few months at a time. After it would stop working, I would
have to get off it for about 6 months before it would work again. I
was on and off it for years until I finally found a treatment that
provided long-term relief.
Each time I used it, it took about 3 weeks before it started working.
So I guess the answer is yes, there's a chance it will work for you
even though it didn't work when you were younger.
