Can anyone tell me their person experiences with accutane...? Like is it
good bad or did your face stay clear after the treatmnet have you had any
side effect noticed later on (like I dono anywhere from 6 months after and
on)? I've been on it for about 2 months have gone through almost all the
side affects even dispression (very mild depression but it was worse before
when I had horrible acne I was depressed about that). My face is clearing
up but also it has become really pale is this normal?. Alright thanks a
lot!

How come you didn't go on kenalog first? I've heared kenalog is a lot better
than accutane. I'm on it, and my scars flattened right down.

I guess I won't be much help to you; I went on 'tane for a 5 month
course, my considerable cystic acne was gone for good after the first
week and I had no side effects whatsover, save for the dry lips and
nostrils.
I've only been through with my course of treatment for a few months
and it hasn't come back, which I would certainly not expect it to, for
Gawd's sake (the stuff was so freaking expen$ive).
I did, however, drink a fair amount of alcohol during the 5 months I
was on it, since I'm kind of an alky, so I'll probably just be dead a
year from now anyway.
I've been on Chemo in the past and 'tane is probably a similar deal in
that it's hard on your liver anyway and if you go drinking alcohol on
top of that it's like 'asking for trouble.'
So, with regards to drinking while on 'tane, I would say what my
doctor in Rochester (Mayo) told me: "If you tell me you have a beer or
two sometimes, I didn't hear it; but if you go getting drunk all the
time--no liver, no life."

as long as you were doing the blood tests every month it would be fine, if it
was bad they would take you off the accutane (ie not something I was keen on
so I didnt touch a drop)

But you still have scars from those cysts right, and those are not
gone right, or am I out of my mind.

Anyways, I'm gonna try and move on... goodbye fellows.

BTW, JD, that MSM sure does make your hair grow: in 2 weeks I've grown
almost a couple of centimeters of hair, and I can swear I can almost feel
it grow sometimes, and my hair usually grows REALLY slowly.

Regards,

A.E. (lost his life bitching and complaining about some chick on this newsgroup)
