hi , i have a problem with my skin, im a nineteen year old male and suffered
from spots and acne in my early teens, during this period i washed my face
several times a day and used some horible facial washers hoping the spots would
go away, by doing this my skin has become very dry and totally rough especially
the insides of my cheek, its been like this for a year or so and i was hoping
it would go away if i only washed once every 2 days however my skin is still
damaged and dry as hell.

Is there any treatment or skin cream that will make my skin return to near its
original form, would an aha cream help.

thanks.in advance.

Have you tried home microdermabrasion? Check out http://belllederm.com.
Worked well for me!

Something that would help is getting a humidifer for your bedroom. Have it
turned on and running whenever you are home. Even if you aren't in your
bedroom. Get some moisture in the air. You skin will benefit. Also
you should be using a more gentle skin wash in the fall/winter months. Try
something for dry/combo skin.
Also are you using an after shave? Stop doing that
and try an after shave balm...something more hydrating, without alcohol.
Something perhaps with glycerin for its moisturizing benefits. Try a
thicker/heavier moisturizer at night also. Are you eating any fish? Try adding
tuna, smoked salmon, wild alaskan salmon, trout, mackeral and even sardines to
your diet several times a week. They are full of essential fatty acids which
will benefit your skin.
Are you exfoliating? Besies shaving (which removes some dead skin cells) are
you exfoliating at all? You might want to try a mild exfoliant and use it once
or twice a week. Have you thought about going to a dayspa and seeking the
advice of a professional Esthetician? Get a facial, have your skin deeply
cleansed and exfoliated and incredibly hydrated.
I bet you will learn alot about your skin and it will
feel and look alot better. Plus, drink your water. Cut back on coffee, sodas,
tea (except green tea) and drink more water!

Cindi
