Question about Retin-A.

I've been using Retin-A Gel (tretinoin 100 micrograms/g, butylated
hydroxytoluene 0.5mg/g) for the last 11 weeks and my skin has improved. I
ran out of this so I went to get some more except they gave me Retin-A Cream
(tretinoin 500 micrograms/g, butylated hydroxytoluene 1mg/g).

I'm just wondering if there are any differences between the two in terms of
how well they work? If for some reason the Cream is different then I'll go
get some Gel instead. Anybody know?

I have used both cream and gel preparations of Retin-A and was very
pleased with the effect on my acne. However my GP originally
prescribed the cream, which I found left my face greasier. He switched
me to the gel and I had no further problems. If you are prone to an
oily forehead and nose, I would advise against using the cream.
