No. Panthenol is an emolliant pro-vitamin form that moisturizes. It's
not the same, and won't work the same, as the topical b5 used in the study.
You can make your own, though, using powder Pantothenic acid. The recipe
was posted and tweaked here in the past (20% b5 powder by weight to your
base). Supposedly it feels like honey (sticky with undissolved
particles) when you're done, though. Unless a better base formula came
out.(not sure).
So I would buy it (B5 topical gel, not the acnicure gel) from
acnemiracle.com if and when they ever start accepting new customers again..
(What is all that about??)
Just checked over there, they have a 17% vitamin C lotion (for red
marks/scar healing) that seems like pretty good formula...
