My complexion looks SOOOO much better when I use a self-tanner. The
trick is finding a good oil-free self-tanner that doesnt cause
breakouts (I'm still working on that) and doesnt make you look orange.
I've been experimenting with Neutrogena Sunless Tan. Not sure if its
triggering breakouts yet. I've heard good things about Coppertone,
Clinique, and Banana Boat.

Have you been to sunless.com ?
They have good reviews on all things sunless.

I try to always use sunless on my face (before going out in the sun),
then use SPF 45 on it when I am outside. Easy and the best thing you can
do for your skin. I don't use it (sunless) all over, cause that's too
much work for me. Smile
I like Banana Boat instant sunless tanning lotion, because it has a
bronze color you can immediately see. This looks instantly nice, and
makes application goof-proof, since you can see where it's applying.

Before this stuff, I always used No-Ad gel, which worked really well for
me. But the instant color (there are a few different brands that have
the instant shade AND the sunless tan (after a few hours)) is a great
feature. I wouldn't buy a tanner without it, now.

The ONLY downfall if you find a non-comedogenic formula, is that some
say the color gets into pores, and can tint clogged pores to be more
noticeable. I never noticed this, tho.

Hmm, whenever i've tried using the Banaa Boat product it seemed to make the
zits stand out more. It also seemed to make the scars "redder". Oh-well...i
guess that's just my luck Razz

Have you tried the spray tanning? You have it
done at a hair salon; they use an airbrush.
Usually they do it all over, not just the face and
it's very even if done right. After they spray
you, you must air dry in the salon for about 20
minutes, then "cure" for 12 hours; you can't
shower or wear any tight fitting clothes (you'll
rub off the spray), and you can't perspire during
these 12 hours. It lasts for about a week and
people are raving about it; it's a very even
color. It costs $20 around here (but I live in
the sticks)... it probably costs a little more in
the city.

If I ever had a need (if I was in a wedding or something), I'd try out
the mystic tan booths, same idea, just auto-sprays you like a car wash Smile
I wish they had these methods 15 years ago, when I lived in my tanning
bed Sad

How do you not perspire in 12 hours, though?
Kita (who lives on the sun, and couldn't leave the salon for 12 hours)

I know what you mean... did you do the baby oil
and iodine thing or are you too young? Hope so; I
probably did lots of damage from those days.

Anyway, the secret to not perspiring (they mean
profusely) is to stay in the a/c either in the car
or at home... what price beauty?

I've heard from several sources that tanning
results from the booths aren't as even as a good
technician's eye, but I've not experienced it
first hand.

wow, that sounds great!
Do you know if there's any way to do this "spray tanning" at home? (i'm a
guy so it would be embarrassing to go to a hair salon and get that done. Wink
If so, do you have a product that you like or could recommend?
