Ok since I'm starting accutane next week and i don't have severe or strong
acne, tell me what I should expect. And those who don't like accutane yes they
can go to hell. Only those who support Accutane or have been on it answer. If
you disagree with accutane, then please go **** yourself. Thanks and have a
great day!

I strongly suggest that if you don't want to hear all opinions, then don't
bother posting your questions.

Grow up.

Dry skin, chapped/cracked lips and blood in the nose (not a
nosebleed). Skin is more sensitive, avoid sunlight because you'll get
a sunburn much easier.
In my case I blame it for making me achy and tired, but I have no
proof that it was the accutane.

It has done wonders for my acne, I'm still on low doses of it and
tapering down, ~8 months so far and 2 more to go. The scars on my back
are actually going away. After over a year of anti-biotics I still had
"pizza back" from acne, now they are there but 98% less noticable.

good luck

Hi, like yourself my acne was not as severe as some cases.
I was on for 6 months at 80mg (160lb male), self medicated.

1st month caused severe breakouts, after which things cleared up and
stayed that way.

Side effects i experienced were not that severe:
Dry eyes causing redness and tiredness.
Small amounts of blood from nose.
and obviously the dry skin + lips + hair. (a over the counter
moisturiser 'Vaseline intensive care' kept that under control.)

I am 4 months out of treatment and have been clear.
In my opinion the results (so far) have greatly out weighed the risks
with Accutane.
