Icing is the "new" trend.. besides the obvious benefits, they say it
helps circulation (blood to the skin to help it) and by reducing
inflammation, topicals can reach deeper to the root of the problem
(bacteria, etc)..
The paper cup thing is exactly the technique sage skincare suggest
(http://www.zerozits.com/Instructions.htm )
Dr. Fulton recommends the same thing,
http://www.acnebook.com/articals/ice.html
Dr. Dubrow (The Acne Cure) also recommends icing, including storing BPO
in the fridge and applying everything cold, plus compresses. He says it
reduced bottleneck inflammation that prevents BP from getting deep
enough into the pore..
