Obagi Blue Peel for acne scars?

Hi,
My primary care doctor (who happens to specialize in dermatology)
recommended an Obagi Blue Peel for some large acne scars I have on my
upper back. I've read some posts here and on healthboards.com about
having the peel for scars, and it seems like the results were mixed.
One person said that their doctor said that the peel is useless for
scars and injections work better, but I've already tried steroid
injections and those perhaps made the scars a little smaller, but that
was about it. I also read that there's a risk of getting more scars
from the procedure, which I obviously don't want. Can anyone offer any
advice? I'm willing to have an expensive and painful procedure done if
it will make my scars go away, but not otherwise, obviously.
