Hi

I drink a lot of milk because I'm trying to gain weight and muscle.
I'm pretty sure the milk is causing my acne to get worse. I am
wondering if there is anything I can do to balance out the effects of
the milk, or do I have to cut it out altogether?

The best way to gain weight and muscle is to eat more calories of healthy
foods and to do weight bearing exercise.

How can milk cause acne? If that were true then there's our cure!
LOL
Seriously, food causing acne is a myth. As for gaining muscle, I lift
weights, too, and I drink a whey shake (powder mixed with SKIM milk) after I
lift and right before bed. You can mix the powder with whatever you like,
though.

Hi Chicago Dave,

Actually, food causing acne is very well proved. It is the biggest cause of
my acne. When I stray off my diet, I break out pretty bad. When I stick to
my diet, my skin is clear. No, it isn't an allergy.

Milk contains iodine which is a cause of acne for many people.
