Dear Friends,
Thanx for your Attention .
May anybody help me to cure this mighty skin rash?
In fact the patient is my mother, and I am frustrated too much about
her condition.
She lives in a village, no carpet no sofa but dust. Her age is near
about 56 year. Some details are given below as I observe.
1. Too severe Itch most effected areas are armpits & pubic area
2. Whole Body (even at face, ear & nose)
3. Dry skin
4. Persist from last 12 - 15 years
5. Skin looks scaly, leathery & dry
6. No red spots
7. Wounds found from last 1 - 2 year (due to rash with knife & stones)
8. Other Family members rash status: rarely
9. Triggers
· Heat & cool
· Sun shine
· Dust
· Anxiety
· Water
· Tight clothing (sweater jersey)
· At night become more severe
10. Some Relief
· If stand near high smoky fire
· If tighten the legs with rope or strings
· Sweat makes some relief but after this become more severe.
· Itchy reduced when go out of home
Doctor's Opinions:
1- Allergy specialist: NIH Islamabad (National institute of health
Allergy Dept.)
After proceeding allergy tests, they said nothing appears/found in our
tests. May be this is another kind of allergy which we couldn't test.
And would have to consult a dermatologist.
At last provided a under given vaccine:
Mix P1.6 (anti sensitive vaccine) produced through Biological Process
A sub-cutaneous injection after each seven-day, treatment period near
about 2 years.
After this we visit dermatologist
2- Dermatologist: Jinnah Hospital Lahore (Dermatology Dept.)
After observing the skin dermatologist advise this only due to dry
skin and prescribed as given below:
Glycerin and water @ 50% whole body treatment twice a day.
Zyutec Tablet 10mg (anti allergic medicine). One for each night, only
for one week.
The patient refused for above given vaccine injections, but agreed for
tablets & glycerin treatment.
After one week when tablets stopped. The itchy skin rash reappears
severely.
Is this mite or any thing else, and what should be do to cure it, keep
in mind the patient is not willing for injections.
Thanks for your patience.
Regards,
Muhammad Musharraf >> Stay informed about: Mighty Skin Rash |

If the zyrtec helped her, then it sounds like an allergy. Zyrtec can
be taken indefinitely. Ask the doctor. >> Stay informed about: Mighty Skin Rash |

Yes not enough information, not good to diagnose people over the
internet, take her to see a doctor, keep trying until you find one you
and she trust, then follow their advice and see how it goes

You might try buying MSM capsules, open up four or five and mix into a
couple of ounces of a really thick over the counter skin cream. The
results will be somewhat grainy but apply to the rashy area at least
twice a day for several days and you might find it to be more helpful
than any prescription. This is an old folk remedy and many people on
this group have used MSM with great success for treatment of the
symptoms of FMS. Look it up on this group via google, and you will
find a list of 100 uses-fran >> Stay informed about: Mighty Skin Rash |

Sounds like contact dermatitis to me.
Might want to cut way back on detergent in washwater,
set the washer for extra dirty clothes to give more
agitation time, and use half or less detergent.
When the washer load is finished, take a sock
from the load, fill a jar 1/2 full of water, put in the sock,
screw on the lid, and shake it vigorously. If you still see
soap suds, cycle the load through the rinse cycle
again and check again, with a different sock.
If washing machine not being used, all the more reason
to make sure clothes are adequately rinsed. Likely
to have irritation at underwear elastic lines as well.
For the face, ears, nose, I suggest using generic baby
shampoo. It is pH adjusted to skin pH, rather than being
aggressively alkaline. And with poor rinsing, the soap
can often cause irritation of the ears, eyes, and mainly
forehead, but can also make the feet and genital areas
very dry from the amount of exposure during hair washing.
