Archived from groups: sci>med, others (more info?)

The other day I was watching a program on the Discovery channel about
bugs that invade our space. At one point, the host scraped his face to
get a skin sample, and they placed the sample under a microscope. After
a little searching, they found some sort of mite, and I'm trying to
find the name. When I search on the internet I mainly come up with
Scabies, but I don't think that that is what it was. It was shaped more
like a hotdog, while the Scabies mite appears to be round. It's also a
lot smaller than the Scabies mite, not being visible without a
microscope. Anyone know the name of this mite? Thanks in advance.
