Can anyone recommend a good makeup to cover up blemishes? I think I'd like
a liquid, oil free kind.

Try Origins. They have several formulas. You need to go to a
department store, like Macy's, where they will color match your skin.

I use this concealer and it really works well for me:

cover up blemishes because you can choose from the concealer palette to
create the color that best matches your skintone.

I highly recommend mineral makeup.. The zinc oxide in it helps to treat
breakouts. It's good for problem skin, gives good coverage and looks
natural.

Bare Escentuals makes miner foundation, as do a bunch of other companies..
