Hello all,

About one month ago my friend J.D. from this newsgroup recommended using

over-the-counter MSM pills for treatment of scars which I take with water.

The result is that some of the tissue has softened, the scar is a little

flatter, and skin seems to be becoming normal around the edges of the scar,

and will probably use pulse light treatment later if the results keep staying

good. But it seems the results are a little better on newer scars than on

older ones. And I can really feel it acting on my scars, cause MSM comes

in 1000mg capsules, and I take about 4 in the morning, 4 in the afternoon,

and a few more whenever I'm thirsty, with water. Wink

Yeah, I don't care about anything, just get rid of these scars...

To summarize, I would recommend it, and get kenalog injections at the

same time to get those scars flatter, but even without it seems there

is some positive results, and very important: don't pick.

A.E.

Fortunately for you, it is almost impossible to overdose on MSM. It
is supposedly less toxic than sugar. But anything over 1000 mg a day
is probably a waste, long term. Your body can store quite a bit if
MSM, but you have probably loaded up all it can hold, by now.

I agree that new scars form differently after you start taking MSM.
Not only do I heal better and faster than before I took it, injuries
even seem to hurt less than they used to.

it's interesting how you get all these amazing benefits. the only
effect i see from taking msm is that my nails grow noticeably faster.
and that's NOT just a placebo or my imagination, cuz i have to cut
them all the time Smile. i don't take msm anymore at the moment. nails
back to regular growth Smile

Evidently (based on my own experience and study of research) MSM is
involved not only in the normal production of proteins and tissue
growth, it is also involved in repair and restructuring of old
injuries. Whether or not it helps repair old ice pick scars in a
visible way, over an extended period of time, I can't say.

Cindi,

Join me and J.D. I have acne scars the size of hazelnuts. Now, listen to what
I say, I've taken this MSM, listening to J.D... and now, my scars have become
shrunken hazelnuts (i.e. they are of lesser spherical diameter), and what was
hard on the peripheral area is now softer tissue, brownish instead of totally
red, and has circulating blood. The center of the sphere, is the white part,
and it shrinks (I've only been taking MSM for a month, BTW). The redness is
somehwhat gone (more pinkish), and I'm gonna continue, and try not to pick,
until there is no hard tissue left. And then I'm gonna go for whitelight
treatment, and then, if it could still be better, I'll inject color. But
the hardness is going away with MSM.

Cindi, smile Smile , join J.D. and me and several other
followers of this magical MSM treatment and we will
all be happy. Smile

And make sure to take loads (like 200 mg in the morning and 200 mg at night,
and a few more whenever you like, just like I do. And guess what, do you love
to have long eyelashes and nice eyebrows, or perhaps that hairdresser also did
cut your hair a little too short? No sweat, this MSM will make those grow too.

Ha, ha, ha, my ex is gealous cause I had longer eyelashes than her, now she's
in for revenge: not only will these shits soften up, I'll have even longer
eyelashes, so there! Very Happy, Very Happy, Very Happy (and I won't even tell her what I did: MSM)

Regards, :O)

Its not for me, but for a male co-worker. And I know
how his self esteem has suffered from the scars.
I need to tell him about this. You take how much daily?

I take a single 1000 mg tablet every day. Cost, 8 cents a day.
