I have used it for 7 months now. Don't waste your money!
It is basically a low dose of benzoyl peroxide. The renewing cleanser contains
2.5% and the repairing lotion contains 2.5%, making it a whopping 5%. It will
work on those small pimples, but for acne it wil have no effect whatsoever.
I have since canceled my shipments and have visited my doctor for an antibiotic
and face cream...

It has been proven that the amount of Benzoyl Peroxide required per
individual varies. The majority of people who have used Benzoyl
Peroxide 2.5% have had remarkable results. Everyone's skin conditions
and tolerance level for Benzoyl Peroxide differs

Proactiv Solution isn't for everyone. It is really trial and error. We
have thousands of customers who are extremely pleased with the results
even customers with severe acne conditions.

I definately recommend it, I am
32 and have had acne since I was 18.
My skin looks beautiful now,(healthy, even toned, glowing) I do get an
occasional
pimple but it's nothing compared to what I had before.
worth every penny, I am happy
that I took a chance.

I used Proactiv for about 4 years along with various antibiotics and birth
control pills. I was very impressed with Proactiv, my skin cleared up in
about 2 weeks. It doesn't work for cystic acne, that's why I was on the
antibiotics. I stopped using it recently, it just wasn't working anymore.
I recommend it if you have mild acne w/ no cysts.

I think Mr. or Ms. Tasci has responded honestly. There are some people who
have been very pleased with Proactiv. I, unfortunately was left
disappointed after two trials of a several months and I found Proactiv to be
awfully expensive considering how ineffective it was. I also did not like
the automatic delivery plan. You can buy products a la carte, but it's
significantly more expensive.

Incidentally, the oil blotter lotion or gel that I bought did not work at
all. The cleanser and toner were fine. The benzoyl peroxide cream was not
sufficient for my condition.

A while back, someone in this group recommended the Clean & Clear acne line
by Johnson & Johnson. Although ultimately I did see a dermatologist, the C
& C products were just as, if not more effective than Proactiv and they were
a heckuva lot cheaper.

If you have acne and have been dissatisfied with OTC methods, visit a
dermatologist, a cosmetically-oriented one. It may take a few visits over
several months but you're likely to have better results in time. So long as
the doctor isn't trying to guilt-trip you into buying huge amounts of
expensive proprietary preparations tht you've said you can't afford (and
they're usually not covered by insurance) there's no reason to think that
the doctor is stringing you along just for the sake of the visits.

Dermatologists have a much broader arsenal at their disposal. I do, however,
understand the allure of the Proactiv infomercials. But it doesn't work for
everyone.

ok... i've said this before.. i'll repeat.. first off proactiv is a TOTAL
waste of money.. you can basically make a similar regime yourself with other
OTC's for much much cheaper..
secondly.. the C+C line is god. these are not perfect for people who are
sensitive to SA or BP.. but if you havent tried this line yet..you really
should....now.
there is still a huge buzz going on at acne.org about a regime suggested by
a guy calledd botchla.. its basically a slighly altered version of the
regime i'm always trying to push on here... it uses nothing but two C+C
products.. the main difference with botchla's regime and my own was i would
use them at alternative ends of the day.. botchla literally uses them in
conjunction at night.. i was always to afraid to do this..worried about
reaction or overdyring (i had read somewhere about not using SA+BP back to
back and it stuck in my head). anyway, just for the hell of it.. i tried
switching to botchla's regime instead.. and i'm amazed that his version
actually causes less dryness and irritation than my own.. even tho he does
use them back to back.. i cant really explain this.. it may just be that he
found a perfect combo of products in term of ingredients..
anyhow.. if you're in search of a new regime.. and know your skin can handle
both SA and BP.. take my word for it and give this regime a try, however,
keep in mind you may need to give it two weeks to see the real difference,
as always.
http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php?showtopic=11566&st=0
if you dont like SA, simply use a little C+C BP cleanser twice a day, this
alone will do you wonders.. if you're the lucky kind that has rhino skin
that deals with BP easily.. you can even try using SA+BP morning and night..
trust me, you'll be simply in awe of how soft your skin feels after
washing.. just be careful to apply the BP cleanser lightly and gently...
only use a little..and for gods sake..if spending anytime in the sun..get a
sunscreen.. this stuff bastes you for burning like a turkey.
i'm not going to lie and say by using these products you'll be cured.. i'll
state again that you cannot "cure" your acne using OTC.. however, by using
these products... and i always do go back to them... you can reduce your
acne i would say 80% easily.
hope this helps.
d.
