I hear that acne can be influenced by the foods that we eat. Appart from the
obvious things like candy, cheese etc, what other foods are to be
avoided/cut back to aid in reducing acne.

Refined sugar and nuts are my biggies. Also, the wrong kind of carbs:
grains.

how is candy and cheese obvious?
they don't cause anything for me.

if everything you eat "seems" to cause acne, then search another treatment. if you think you're gonna be able
to live forever on a rabbit diet like Arlyn Grant, think again. you can't give up all the foods like that, it
takes too much discipline.

i used to be paranoid like this some time ago, but once i started a good topical treatment, all my obsessions
and false assumptions dissapeared. Behold, i could eat hamburgers, drink coke, nothing would happen. The only
thing that causes acne for me at the moment is PEPPER, but it has to be in large quantities. A little pepper
sprinkled over food causes nothing. Something i would not try again is one of those protein supplements for
weightlifting. I don't know why, but they cause these HORRIBLE breakouts. Weird huh. They're not even
steroids.
So in conclusion, get yourself on a good, stable, topical treatment, stick with it, and AFTER you do that
concern yourself about diet.

Carbs, but specifically refined ones. There is emerging proof that carbs
cause blood sugar and inflammation problems, among other reasons.

If you are going to have carbs, best to balance them with protein and
fat, and choose high fiber carbs like whole wheat etc.

Some people who go on gluten-free diets report help for their skin. (This means no
grains except for brown rice.)
