Flagyl / metronidizone for Rosacea?

Has anyone been prescribed Flagyl for rosacea?

My Dr has just started me on a 1-week course to try and calm down my
rosacea. Has anyone had good results from this treatment?

My doctor couldn't decide whether I have adult acne or rosacea or a
combination of both. I was on Retin-A for quite sometime, not to mention
the other acne treatments prior to that. Thereafter, I was tried on the
Metronidazole gel twice a day for two months combined with Doxycycline (oral
antibiotic) twice then once a day - unfortunately, it still didn't work for
me. What removed the bumps and redness eventually was when I was tried on
the microdermabrasion cream (check out http://bellederm.com), and I was
really seeing great results in two weeks. Now, it's just a matter of
maintenance...
