<< this happens every single winter and i am fed up! >>
Laura, so you have laid out your skincare routine to us. As I can tell you
don't exfoliate. Sure those cleansing cloths may contain an exfoliant according
to the manufacturer, but you need to use some type of chemical exfoliant. Look
for something with alpha hydroxy acid or beta (salicylic acid) hydroxy acid.
That will help dissolve those dead skin cells built up on the surface of your
skin. You can moisturize unti the cows come home but you need to remove the
surface debris and dead skin cells that accumulate into dry flakes and patches.
Also, drink water, water, water, and more water. Watch your consumption of
caffeine in sodas, teas, coffees and even hot cocoa. These dehydrate the skin
if more that 2 cups a day are consumed. Get a humidifer for your bedroom. Have
the humidifer turned on whenever you are home. Even if you aren't in your
bedroom. You need moisture in the air. If you live in the states you can find
humidifers at Lowe's, Home Depot, Walgreens, CVS, Target, Walmart and even
K-mart. Use a humidifer everyday. Plus stop using that soap. Soaps are full of
binders and waxes which are known to clogg pores. But they also strip the skin
of its oils so then you can feel tight and dry.
Sorry to write a book, but I hope these suggestions help.
