Hi,

I love my coffee. And I don't' want to give it up. But if it means
having my rosacea clear up, than I will do it. It won't be easy, but
it will be worth it. I just hope I can do it.

Here is my question. Is it the heat of the coffee that causes the
flushing, or it is the heat coupled with the caffeine? Because if it
is only the heat, that means I won't be able to replace the coffee
with hot green tea, which really would be a shame.

I have the same problem with Mountain Dew , If I don't drink it for a week
then my face gets clearer. I am guessing the caffeine is drying me out as my
face gets very dry and moisturizer is needed bad. I keep trying to get off
the it but have got it down only to a week or two before going back again.

The only thing you can do is give it a try.

Because everyone's skin problem's are different, I think you need to
experiment to see if it's the heat of the coffee - in which case just
let it cool off before you drink it or if it's the caffeine that's
your trigger.

In my case if I'm not getting enough sleep, I'm more stressed and then
my skin is more likely to react. Sometimes you just have to keep a
diary of what causes your skin to react and what you ate, or your
level of stress or how tired you were prior to that. It takes some
time to do but it's better than having to give up all the things you
enjoy.

I have/had rosacea on my nose and my doctor claims caffeine CAN cause
it to flare up, so you may want to stop the coffee and see what
happens.

After years of meds, I had a series Foto Facial treatments on my nose
to actually try and distroy the blood vessels that were causing the
redness. It cost $100 a treatment (I had Cool but my nose does not get
ANYWHERE near as red as it used too.

Just sharing what worked for me.
