Post subject: Cat scratch on face! Now Pink skin.. proper care?
Archived from groups: alt>skincare (more info?)

Okay my beloved cat clawed me on my face about a week ago wenesday. I
a developed a small scab which recently completely fell off revealing
bright pink skin. Now i have had these in the past and they have
faded, however this being on the face (and me being darker skinned) i
want to ensure complete fading. What course of action should i take?
Should i cover the now pink skin with a band aid to avoid the sun, or
let it breathe? I am currently using vitamin E oil and Cocoa butter on
the skin as well. Any other hints? thanks.

Hi,

Vitamin E oil is great, also make sure you're taking EFAs internally.
Also, topical lipophilic Vitamin C. Keeping it out of the bright sun
is good, but shouldn't be too much of a problem in the winter. I don't
personally care for cocoa butter as a healer, but it will put a nice
layer of protection on top of the skin.

Best Regards,
Alex
