The cleanser appears to be similar to Proactives cleanser. Proactives
cleanser irritated my skin, made it red and blotchy and increased the
sensitivity to it. Also, and most disturbingly, the BPO in it bleached
my eyebros! They started turning orange! (my hair is dark brown). Even
if I was very careful not to get it near my eyes. Actually it might
have been the Proactive Repair lotion that did that, since its a leave
on. I tried desperately to keep it away from my eyebrows, but I think
it drips down during the day on some microscopic level.

Anyway, bottom line is, if Proactive created these problems, is
Carleys likely to do the same?

I think Carley's might be even more irritating for you because it uses
crushed walnut shells instead manufactured smooth balls. Carley's cleanser
is meant to be used only once a day, but you may simply be reacting to the
BP or you can try using your Proactive cleanser once a day and don't use the
repairing lotion.
