Hi,

2 months after finishing my Roaccutane course and my acne's started
coming back. Just in my T-zone and nowhere near as severe as before. But
it's not a good time for me to cope with this as I move house and start a
new job in a month.

While I'm waiting for an appointment with my NHS derm I've been giving B5 a
go. I've just been taking 3g of Solgar vegi-caps and 1 High Potency B
complex a day, and to my surprise it seems to be working after only 5 days.

The only *problem* being my urine has turned really bright almost dayglo
yellow/green!! Does this mean I'm taking too much? Is it doing me any
damage? Is it normal?

TIA.

No, that's perfectly normal...you're not taking too much. I think it's the
B3 in the B-complex that cases that.

It's not the B5 - it's the B2 (Riboflavin) in the B-Complex that's causing your urine to turn bright green/yellow. It's perfectly
normal and harmless and happens to everyone who takes synthetic B2.
Good luck with the B5 - it really does work. If your B- Complex contains large amounts of B6 and/or B12 you might want to see my
post from a few days ago titled 'Important B5 Info'.

Thanks, that's put my mind to rest. I'm so impressed with the B5 I'm not
sure whether to keep taking it or do another Accutane course now?!

The odds are very low (anecdotally, judging from posts of hundreds of
users, I'd guess about half a percent) to infinitesimal that you can go
off B5 and remained clear. Unlike accutane. So I'd go on accutane.

That was my thinking too. Plus I'll save a load of money not having to buy
thousands of B5 capsules. You can't beat £6.40 GBP for 3 months supply of
accutane!

Thanks

Riboflavin (B2) doesn't store in large amounts so it flushes out in the urine.
That's why you can't megadose on riboflavin.

But Accutane has a lot of bad side effect and long time side effects.
