A good cosmetologist would have given or at least suggested a skin patch
test (even if testing took a few days), and been eager to know what your
'results' were. She also should have given you a plan for long term care
as glycolic acid is not something you use forever.
My only probem with glycolic acid was that it cut the skin at the corner
of my lips for a few days as new cells rose -- nothing noticeable to
others but quite noticeable to me when I ate or drank.
I suggest you read up on it as advised but also revisit that
cosmetologist and ask what she's willing to do to remedy your situation
or at least refund your cash so you can see a good dermatologist.
She may be licensed and not want to have a disatisfied customer; she may
also be uncooperative .. but it can't hurt to ask. Good luck! =KD=
