Iv been on accutane for 5 weeks now. My skin and lips are getting quite dry.
I never use a moisturiser before becuse when i applied it, my face always
looks really shiny and seems to make the blotches i have on my face flare up
and look alot more apparent. Now my skin is quite dry i think its coming to
a time where i need to start using one. Can anyone recomend a good one that
i can use day and night which other people have had success with.

Cheers

P.S im male!

My Derm gave me Cetaphil whilst on Accutane. Back then it was prescription.
I also used about 10,000 jars of Carmex during my cycle! Smile

Hi Random,

I'll give you a tip. This is going to sound odd... but stop using water on
your face.
Yes I know...This is going to be difficult to get use to. But just try it.
You'll be a believer.
I personally use "Cetaphil" for sensitive skin and instead of rinsing it off
with water,
I gently wipe it off with a soft clean cloth. First thing in the morning
and before bed.
You see, tap water contains harsh substances like detergents and so forth
therefore irritating and further drying out your face. You'll notice your
PH Balance return to normal in just a few days of using the "Cetaphil".
Oh yeah and for moisturizing, Aveeno is quite affective. And for the lips,
Blistex.

P.S. If venturing out, don't forget the Sunscreen.

Good Luck,
CC

You can get it at any pharmacy, Wal-Mart, Target. Not sure of what area
you're in.
But it's widely available.
